Meet our Board of Directors

The Improvement League is 501c3 public charitable organization committed to identifying gaps in services in the east Hillsborough County area, assisting with finding funding, and securing the means to address identified community needs. The areas of Lincoln Park in the southeastern quadrant and Madison Park in the southwestern quadrant located in the City of Plant City, Florida have been targeted for the implementation of programs and services by the volunteers and members of this grassroots organization.

Meeting Times & Location

When: Every 3rd Monday of each Month
Time:  6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location:  Bing House Museum, 205 South Allen Street, Plant City, FL 33563

Membership

You are invited to join us.  Membership fees are $25.00 per year.  Membership benefits include general membership voting, newsletter mailing and social media distribution list (email, twitter, facebook).  Attendance of at least 3 meetings each year is required unless special conditions and/or needs don’t permit attendance.

You feel the desire to give more of your time?  There are positions and elections held annually for either Board and/or Committees to include; MLK Festival, EPA Environmental, Newsletters, Museum, and special events.

Experience:
Our board of directors, officers and members comprise of volunteers with a wide range of experience to include educator/teaching (over 50 years), law enforcement/forensic science (over 40 years), child protection/social program, childcare, medical care, public relations, executive management and small business operations.  This experience allows us to address a variety of issues and actively engage.
